News from SCIS:
10th October 2019
Despite the dismal start to the day with mist and drizzle, nothing was going to dampen the enthusiasm of our secondary students as they literally marched to the beat and forced the sunlight out on Secondary Sports day. Each of the four houses were resplendent in their colours, with the score board fluctuating between each of them, as each of the group and individual sports were played out.
Both the entry march and the opening dance challenge were won by Delphi, who unfortunately were unable to hold their lead as the day progressed. (See the Delphi winning challenge video on our FaceBook page) As records were set (see below) there was some impressive jumping, shot put and javelin at all levels, as well as some fun games for the less athletic …. and the teachers!
The tug-of-war divided the weak from the strong and the final challenges between students and staff saw the teachers come out victorious.
