News from SCIS:
13th March 2018
On Friday 9th & Saturday 10th March we were delighted to host the final NTAA (Northern Tanzania Athletics Association) Swimming Galas for Primary and Secondary Students.
6 schools and over 160 students participated in the galas, swimming in a range of events from 25m to 200m in all four strokes.
There was a great atmosphere with tremendous support… and noise that could be heard some distance away!
Our swimmers gave their all, producing some fantastic performances and achieving some excellent personal best times of which they can be proud.
The SCIS Primary Squad won thirteen gold medals, nine silver medals and ten bronze medals which means they finished a commendable 3rd overall, their highest position this year, which is a good reflection of the effort, enthusiasm and determination the students apply each week at Swim Squad. We also had excellent individual performances, including Francois who won 6 gold medals and Elijah who won 4 gold and 2 silver medals.
Many thanks to the staff and students for hosting the galas; the sports leaders performed their duties with enthusiasm and efficiency, a great credit to the school.
