News from SCIS:
14th October 2016
During the first half of Term 1, our Under 9 and Under 11 Rounders teams have been hard at work. They have been training with their coaches on Tuesday and Friday afternoons in preparation for the NTAA tournaments at Kennedy House International School.
It has been a privilege to witness the improvement these students are making, not least through demonstrating good listening skills. However, they have also been taking on board tips from their dedicated coaches and applying them in game situations.
So far they have attended two tournaments and performed exceptionally well in both, playing against tough competition to come second in the Under 9 and Under 11 events, securing an overall second place for the tournaments. At both tournaments it has been a delight to witness good sportsmanship across the board from the students involved. They have shown themselves to be gracious winners and losers, shaking hands and congratulating their opponents after every match. We were even voted as the most sporting team atr one of the tournaments.
I hope to see a continued improvement in the second half of term from our Rounders teams when we play host to a selection of NTAA schools in a friendly tournament at SCIS in November.
